Profile:
No great leader ever stands alone; even the greatest leaders need those they can confide in. When the leader of the Autobots, Optimus Prime, needs the advice of a friend, he turns to Ironhide. As one of the oldest and toughest members of the Autobots, Ironhide has seen more than his fair share of action. A grizzled veteran whose outer armour is covered in scratches and dents, Ironhide's personality is as tough as body. He's crochety, gruff, and doesn't like being told what to do, but that stubbornness conceals a cast-iron will. In spite of his age, Ironhide is one of the feistiest Autobots who'd spit in the face of The Fallen himself and tell him to "go chew on a microchip"; his battle experience means he's more than capable of following through on that defiant attitude. Younger 'bots who talk up their abilities irritate Ironhide, particularly when all they do is talk, lacking the action to back up their words. "They're about as much use as leakin' lubricant" Ironhide complains, before taking those same bots under his wing for a lesson in how it should be done. When Ironhide does this, he demonstrates to anyone who thinks he's an old relic that he's still as capable as he was hundreds of years ago. Ironhide's mentorship betrays his true character: behind that gruff, ornery exterior is a bot with a kind, caring spark. Ironhide sometimes tries to downplay it, but it's an open secret that Ironhide sees himself as a protector of all forms of life: Cybertronian or human, sentient or beast.Cherry Vanette mode:
